Rodney DeLong Softball Camps | General Info

CAMP LOCATION and PARKING

All camps are held in Denton at Lovelace Stadium, on the campus of the University of North Texas. Other University facilities may be used as necessary. Lovelace Stadium is located at 1500 Bonnie Brae Street South, Denton, TX 76207. The stadium is just south of Apogee Stadium and just south of the Indoor Training Center (it says MEAN GREEN real big on the side). No parking permit is required for the Lovelace Stadium lot, however... ALL OTHER parking on campus requires a visitor’s permit.

CONFIRMATION EMAIL
You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 24 hours of registering online for camp. Be sure and check your junk box, as sometimes the confirmation e-mail can get lost there. Also, the e-mail address you listed on the application is where the confirmation e-mail will be sent, so please double check that the e-mail address is entered correctly before submitting camp registration form.

HOUSING
Campers are responsible for their own overnight accommodations and getting to/from Lovelace Stadium each day.

CAMP CHECK-IN
Check-in will take place at the entrance to Lovelace Stadium. Camp activities will take place after registration. Please refer to your confirmation email for check-in time and other details.

WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP CHECK LIST:

  • Softball Glove
  • Catching Equipment (If you are a Catcher)
  • Softball Bat
  • Helmet
  • Batting Gloves if wanted
  • Tennis Shoes and Cleats (No cleats in the hitting facility or indoor)
  • Sunscreen

TEAM ASSIGNMENTS
We have a very specific method in which we assign teams. We have to make sure positions are divided up as equally as possible. We will not be able to accommodate any requests for campers to be put on the same team.

THE NCAA PROHIBITS US FROM SAVING SPOTS FOR FUTURE CAMPS -- NO EXCEPTIONS


All camps are open to any and all entrants. (Limit only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).


UNT Softball camps are solely operated by Rodney DeLong Softball Camps, which is not affiliated with The Board of Trustees of the University of North Texas or The University of North Texas.
